You must be at least 18 years of age to have your own account and WWOOF solo. Anyone under 18 must travel with a parent or legal guardian.
In some countries, solo WWOOFing is allowed from the age of 16, currently this includes WWOOF Italia, WWOOF Portugal, WWOOF Germany, WWOOF Korea and WWOOF UK. If you’re interested in this option, please contact those organizations directly to find out more.
There is no upper age limit for WWOOFing, and many farmers welcome the experience and maturity of older WWOOFers. Farms may involve physically demanding tasks, though, so we encourage you to discuss expectations with your host ahead of time to be sure it’s a good fit for everyone. Note that some hosts may have upper age limits due to insurance policies, so please check with the host.
