Your safety and well-being are our top priorities. That’s why every new WWOOF host undergoes an in-depth approval process, so we can confirm they follow agroecological principles and they’re ready to create a welcoming and enriching experience for WWOOFers by providing them with a safe environment and adequate learning opportunities.
Curious about how we prioritize safety? Here are the steps hosts complete:
Comprehensive Profile Review
We ensure hosts provide key details about their farm, along with plenty of photos - including where WWOOFers will sleep.
Orientation with Staff
Every new host undertakes an orientation session with a staff member. We discuss how to host, expectations, and share guidance for creating a great experience for WWOOFers.
Beyond meeting our requirements, WWOOF hosts are enthusiastic about sharing their knowledge and lifestyle. They’re passionate about teaching organic farming and sustainability skills, inviting WWOOFers to learn and grow while becoming part of their community.
Opening their home and life to strangers can also be a leap of faith and concerns can be quite similar for both sides.
