Your host profile includes an Availability section, that shows when you are open to hosting, unavailable, or already have visits planned with WWOOFers.
Keeping your calendar up to date helps WWOOFers quickly understand your availability and decide whether to contact you for specific dates.
From your host calendar settings, you can:
- Indicate months when you typically host WWOOFers
- Block of specific dates when you are unavailable
- Automatically prevent visit requests during unavailable periods
When you confirm a visit request, those dates appear on your calendar as planned visits, indicated by a small dot under the day. This lets WWOOFers know you will already be hosting someone during that time, but you may still have availability, depending on if you can host more than one person.
Keeping your calendar accurate helps reduce unnecessary requests and sets clear expectations before conversations begin.
Profile Visibility and Immediate Availability
In your Availability section, you can also manage how your profile appears to WWOOFers:
- Hide your profile if you need a break from hosting
- Show your profile when you are open to receiving new requests
- Use Immediate Availability to signal if you’re ready to host right away
